Abstract
The authors reviewed 11 eyes of 8 patients who had been followed up for at least 7 months after bleb revision using mitomycin C [MMC]. The intraocular pressure was controlled under 21 mmHg in 9 eyes of 11 [81.8%] after the procedure with or without antiglaucoma medication. The endothelial cell count was not significantly changed [P>0.05]. Complications were bleb leakage in 4 eyes, corneal epithelial abrasion 2 eyes, serous choroidal detachment 1 eye, hypotony 1 eye, hyphema 1 eye, and subretinal hemorrhage 1 eye. These results suggest that the bleb revision with MMC in failed bleb is an effective and safe method for non-functioning bleb after trabeculectomy.
