Abstract
Malignant schwannoma which is peripheral nervous system tumor, is originated from Schwann cells and perineural tissue. It arises commonly from major nerve trunks, mostly proximal portions of upper and lower extremities. Malignant schwannoma in orbit is extremely rare in its incidence. We experienced a case of orbital malignant schwannoma in forty-five year old male who had diplopia and marked protrusion of left eye. Lateral orbitotomy was performed. Well encapsulated, brownish colored tumor mass which was 6 X 5 X 2cm in size was removed. Pathologically it was malignant schwannoma.
