Abstract
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is one of the most important corneal pathogens and is perphaps the most common Gram-negative organism causing corneal ulcers. It causes a rapidly spreading ulcer, which can follow minor corneal trauma. Early descemetocele formation, melting, and perforation are not infrequent. Thus, it is very important to cope with the disease by early treatment using effective antibiotics. Recently, with the soft contact lens, the cases of Pseudomonas corneal ulcers are on the rise. We have experienced 3 cases who developed Pseudomonas corneal ulcers due to soft contact lens wearing. We have got good result in treating these patients by using topical Amikacin solution in addition to conventional Pseudomonas corneal ulcer treatments.
